Funny buttons and change

I have decided to postpone the rest of my Emma Book Study for life is getting entirely too busy right now. :) I will do the rest after Emma Week. But here is what I have been wasting my time making. Hope you enjoy these silly little buttons.

 In other words I've been testing my skills on pic monkey and the results were... tolerable but not handsome enough to tempt me. :)

A mother figure :)

  I'm joining the ranks of those who are not going to even look at there computers tomorrow.  *smile*
My mom needs a REALLY good day. Many people have said it before but my mom is the best!  Period. She reminds me of Mrs. Weston. :)
  Mrs. Weston was always a favourite with me. And her sweetness and gentleness was always something I could never really put into my character... not to say that I cannot be gentle or sweet. Who said that?!
 But, this post is about Mrs. Weston. :)

I've always thought they were such a sweet couple!

                      I admire the way she does not become too irritated by Emma love of matchmaking.

                  A virtue that some may not have. (Mr. Knightley for instance was annoyed by it) But it was 

                           the kind of annoyance which one can understand. :) But back to Mrs. Weston.

Emma... I just had to place this in my post! :)

      

Lovely, amiable, gentle, patient and loyal. All these things are Mrs. Weston.  

And I really think that the BBC Emma got her character right. :P

How does she remain so calm? :)

  She deserves more praise than I give but time is a precious thing... and I'm in a predicament. 

I think that Mr. Weston deserved such a good wife! He did and they make such a handsome couple... as I  said at the beginning of this post. Would you not agree with me?

  Miss Laurie is asking us to vote for our favourite Jane Austen mother/mother figure and Mrs. Weston will certainly be my choice.

I did it!

  Well... it was really you people. :)
 I now have twenty followers. And may I commend you all for you patience, equanimity, faithfulness and ability to stand my moody character. :) I have enjoyed my time on blogger since joining it and special thanks to the Anne-girl, Melody and Miss Laurie for welcoming me so wonderfully!
  I would also like to share something with you all that makes me crack up every time I see it. (and if blogger were not here I would never had watched the utterly wonderful BBC Emma and take the screen shot below)

    Excuse the 'bad quality' but this was the very first screen shot I took on our family computer and this has been a lasting joke in my family ever since I took it. :) I have a feeling it is when he is about to say "...let evil lips be made dumb"!

Three lovely things

  Dear Fellow Bloggers,
 I am such a silly goose! (um... this post is not about that) But really I AM a silly goose. But then, posting things was never a thing I could do with ease. But, however, posting is necessary. (under the present circumstances) 
   Has everyone not had a day were you do so wish you could say something that would be handed down as a proverb but one just cannot? So, please do not expect anything in this post to make a bit of sense. Ahem...


Miss Woodhouse is hosting a lovely Secondary Character Tournament over at her blog! I am quite restless to see who will be chosen.

Miss Laurie of Old Fashioned Charm is hosting a Period Drama Keep Calm contest! I'm trying to come up with something, but it is QUITE hard when you are up to your neck in things you must do.

(Keep Calm and don't be a SECOND Gilbert Blythe!) And drive into the pond. Wait! She did that!

 And, my dear little pumpkin, has created a lovely, little blog and is hosting The Worst "W" Villain. Do go and vote, peoples! (frankly... I could not)  Both of our dear Miss Austen's "W" villains are worse than the other! (Captain Wentworth will of course be OUT of the "W" list) It will end on May 4th. (so go vote for pity sake)

What to do

After a few cups of coffee, reading a bit of Emma, and starting my day of with my with my brother quoting Mr. Collins (2005): through the house for 17 minutes... I can put up with anything. (and no, he did not say, "What a superbly featured room and was excellent boiled potatoes!") And if he had I would have been furious!!!

 OK, what this post IS about is gonna blow your socks off and send you to the moon. (not)  *cough*
 In light of the fact that HERO WEEK is almost upon us I would like to take this moment to say...

  "In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you... Anne-girl!"

   I know, I know. I've said a snorting amount TOO much already. By the way, this post is not about the gentlemen who said that *Mrs. Ellton          
smirk*, or about his feeling being repressed, or why Colin Firth is the ONLY one who got that line right! (right Lydia) (anyway, don't you think that is the-greatest-proposal-ever)

 Ahem. Where was I?

 'Tis a very different matter, involving "My Blog."    
After Hero Week comes to a close (Oh pray, don't speak of that!) I will, because certain of things, such as reading the following: Little Dorrit & Jane Eyre, Watching (hopefully): Sense and Sensibility (2008)
 etc. etc. etc.

Thus leading me to post only... nothing.
The fact of the matter is that I have nothing to post about. That is why I ask you all to vote on the four polls right of this post. :)
  It would greatly help me and I'm sure Mrs. Ellton would not think the worst of me if I told her that my sister wrote a blog titled after her. (laugh, I say):
