Here it goes.

1. Who would make a better college professor, 6 or 11? 

Mr. Knightley or the evil stepmother?! You are joking, right? Um... I think Mr. Knightley because he did have more experience in such things.
  

2. 12 sends 8 out on a mission. What is it? Does it succeed?

Mr. Darcy sends Anne Shirley out on a mission. What is it? Um... The Rollings Reliable Baking Powder Company contest she entered? I have not watched Anne of GG in a while so I'm not quite sure if that was said right. And yes! The mission was successful. After all she did win. :)

3. What is, or what would be, 9’s favorite book?  

Maid Marian's favorite book. THE ADVENTURES of ROBIN HOOD anyone?

4. Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6 or the other way around?

Margaret Hale swearing fealty to Mr. Knightley? HA HA...

This is what Darcy thinks of Mr Collins :P

5. Number 5 is looking for a roommate. Should he room with 4 or 12?

Collins is looking for a roommate. Willoughby or Darcy? Well Darcy already has Pemberley so Willoughby would very likely be the choice. But this IS Mr. Collins! I do not know.

6. 2, 7, and 12 are going out to dinner. Where are they going, and what do they discuss?  

Margaret Hale, Maria and Darcy. I guess they would talk about Darcy's estate and where they are going to eat and laughing at each others costumes... after all they all lived in a different era. :)

7.  3 challenges 10 to a duel. Who wins? 

Margret Dashwood and Lucy Steele dueling. (he he)  Margaret of course!

8. If 1 stole 8’s most precious possession, how would s/he get it back?

Harriet Smith would never steal. Well, she did steel Mr. Elton pencil...

9. Suggest a story title in which 7 and 12 both attain what they want.

Rain drops on roses, Miss Bennet isn't handsome.
Bright coper kettles, don't laugh at Miss Bennet's mother.
Brown paper packages tied up with strings, Miss Bennet may I have the next dance.
When the dog bites! When Elizabeth says "NO" (about the proposal)!
I simply remember my favourite things, and Lizzy said "YES", this time! :)

And try to guess who these people are.

10. What kind of plot device would you have to use to get 1 and 4 to work together? 

Harriet and Willoughby would work together only (seeing that Harriet already was heartbroken by a snake) only if Willoughby would reform and try to do something right. (unlikely)

11. If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would it go? 

Maria would be fun to have as a guest! We would sing and laugh and have a pillow fight: for I would surely ask her to stay the night.

12. If you could command 3 to perform any service or task for you, what would it be?

IF I could tell Margaret Dashwood to do anything it would be... go find a hair stretchy!

13. If 2 had to choose sides between 4 or 5, what side would s/he choose?  

Margaret Hale choosing between Willoughby or Mr. Collins. I think she would choose Collins... if she knew Willoughby's character.

14. What might 10 shout out while charging into battle? 

Lucy Steele would go into battle?

15. If you had to choose a song to best describe 8, what would it be? 
The Wedding March... it matches the picture very well. Go figure.

16. 1, 6, and 12 are having a dim sum at a Chinese Restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left , and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets it? 

 Mr. Knightley is a gentleman so he would sit back and try not to smile. Mr. Darcy would look uncomfortable and he would sit back. So Harriet would get it. The concerning hero!

17. What would 5 most likely be arrested for? 

Mr Collins would be arrested for being a... I'll stop there.

18. What is 6’s secret? 

Mr. Knightley has a secret? OH... what is it? Do tell?

19. If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?   

Maid Marian and the Evil Stepmother are racing, both may trip on those lonnnnng gowns, or the stepmother may lose her headdress or... Marian would win.

20. If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, who would you be more comfortable walking with, 7 or 8?  

Maria or Anne Shirley? I like both of them but Anne's imagination may get too much so Maria would be good.

Family and the like

Rachel and Sarah of Our Family View From Us Two are hosting a blog event centered around family and I thought that I would go along for the ride. :) "I wanna think ye from de bottum of me hart..." by the way, that line is daily quoted at my house!

1. What are some of your family's favorite phrases, exclamations, or sayings?


 Let me see... "blistering barnacles", "great snakes", "I need such in' such to sustain my mortal soul","Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die", "___ ...my one weakness", "Flying pans! Who knew, right?", "Shelves in the closet. A happy thought, indeed.", "Rats!!! I hate rats!" (Right Marissa?), "Oh for the love of Pete.", "Gag me with a spoon!" (HEHE). And so many more.      




2. What's the number of boys to girls in your family?


Four girls VS. three boys. :)  And I am the eldest of them all. It is a pure joy to have so many siblings and I love them all dearly. Who else would stay up and what my (and their own) favourite films? and drink hot cocoa with when it is 95 degrees outside? and duel with? and laugh at Eliza's 'aooooooooooooooooow" with? and... I'll stop.    
   
3. What is your favorite tradition your family has?


Nothin'. Well... if you could call our FRIDAY FAMILY FUN NIGHT a tradition. Oh and we always bunk down in our living room every Friday night... after the company has gone away.
OH! And we tease each other so much that it is impossible to be mad at the other! 
We love quoting Toy Story, TPB (the princess bride) and P&P. :) Here's a for instance. 


My sister: "Observe this spoon, Cousin sister. Is it not the essence of practicality and convenience. My mother herself was kind enough to suggest me using this spoon at dinner time."


Me: "She must be a very attentive mother."


Sister: "She is."


Me: "Hum... spoon in your mouth and eat, sister. A happy thought, indeed!"
This is when my mom is starring at me with a Lady C look. Like this. Just not so harsh.

4. What do you call the midday meal at your house?


 Tuna Melts (my mom's recipe and something we all enjoy... everyone except my dad) :)  I do not have the recipe but it is something to this respect. Take a piece slice of bread, tuna mixed with seasonings and other things we just stir in. Stir that all up and spread it over the bread. Sprinkle shredded cheese over this and toast.
We adore it!     
5. Is the majority of your family morning people or night owls?


I'm a night owl ALL THE WAY. The rest of my family are up at 5:00 and I'm up around 7:30. :) I'm usually the last one to the breakfast table as well. And MANY complaints are made. 


6. What is your favorite vacation location?


Colorado! I am in love with Colorado. We have visited there 3 times and the last time it was to move there. But the Lord did not see fit for us to stay and I now am happily living in the southern United States, enjoying quiet family life.   


7. Are your family's weekends usually full of activities such as sports, parties, and outings, or
 are they more of around the house, fix-it-uppers?


Around the house, fix-it-uppers. Half of the day is spent like that and then 'it's party time, Woody!' YEeeeeeeeHAhhhhh! :)   
8. What is the nationality/ies your family comes from? (i.e. Scotch, Russian, etc)


Scotch. American. A little bit of American Indiana.    
9. Do you go away for holidays, or celebrate at home?


WE mostly stay at home. But we do go to my Grandmother's house for Christmas Eve. :)  
10. How did your parents meet?


They met when both were working at the same store. :) They never dated but from what I hear always had an understanding.
My dad's brother was dieing and was also living with him (as far as I know) and my mom came by with her famous Chicken Casserole and also green apples for him to eat. :) It was always a very sweet story to me.
And one day, while dad was shopping with his mom, he turned to my mom and said...


 "If you don't marry me I'll just have to ship you off to Africa!" (no kidding)


My dad has always had a sense of humour.
If you could just see the way they look at each other as my mom tells the story. :)
